Types of Roof
We work with the following types of roof:
Types of Problems
If your roof is suffering from any of the following conditions, contact us as soon as possible as this may lead to damp which will cause property damage.

Leaks
Leaks can be caused by wear and tear from exposure to the elements, storm damage, stresses on the material (such as someone walking on it), water pooling, freeze-thawing or simply poor workmanship when the roof was first installed or recently repaired.

Splitting
Splitting is a common occurrance with flat roofs when the felt or asphalt covering the roof suffers from cracks or tears. This affects the outer appearance of the roof and can allow water to get in through the gaps resulting in leaks and property damage.

Ponding
if you have noticed that your roof is collecting large puddles of water when it rains it could be a sign that your roof’s drainage system isn’t working to its full potential. Ponding can cause deep concave indents to occur around the roof. These indents will continue to collect water, damaging the material and over time may allow water to begin to seep through into the interior of your home.

Blistering
While ponding and splitting often occur because of excessive water and damp conditions, blistering usually occurs because of excessive heat. Even if the blisters haven’t burst yet, the bubbling of the material can still allow moisture to get in.

Blocked Or Broken Gutters
We cover with everything from blocked gutters to old or damaged guttering that needs replaced. Don’t underestimate the damage to your property that can happen if a gutter is not draining water effectively.

Leadwork Repair
We can install, repair or replace any lead used for flashing and roof work. Lead sheet is both flexible and durable and can provide an effective weatherproof barrier for many years.

Moss Removal
If Moss, Algae and Lichens are left untreated, they can lead to a number of serious issues and shorten the lifespan of your roof. Not only does a buildup of moss look unsightly, it can cause structural damage and block your properties drainage system.
Flat Roofs: What to Expect
When K R Building Preservation fix your flat roof, you can expect the following:

Performance
Due to a unique polyester reinforcement, Armourplan exhibits exceptional mechanical properties and performance characteristics. This allows the use of wider membranes where required, reducing the number of fixings and enabling rapid installation.

Reliable Protection
Armourplan membranes are manufactured using a state of the art extrusion process with advanced polymer technology, and have been intensively tested to ensure they retain their stunning visual appearance. The polyester reinforcement is therefore completely protected by high performance PVC, providing consistent protection.

A Sleek, Attractive Finish
Armourplan forms a sleek skin on many types of roof application, whether mechanically secured or adhered. Design can be further enhanced with the use of the wide range of ancillary items including standing seam profiles, where a traditional metal appearance is desired.

Aesthetically Pleasing
Armourplan membranes are available in a wide range of innovative and attractive colours and are UV-stable. A roof can therefore be transformed into an attractive feature, giving the client almost unlimited design possibilities.

Secure Seam Welding
Armourplan PVC membranes are designed to be welded together to form homogenous, reliable joints. In addition, our premium membranes, Armourplan P and Armourplan PSG are produced by utilising the same high quality UV resistant PVC compound on both the upper and lower side of the membrane to ensure optimal weld strength and quality.
